Harry Pierpont was a notorious American criminal who was a close associate of John Dillinger and a member of the "Dillinger Gang" during the early 1930s. Pierpont was born in 1902 in Muncie, Indiana and became involved in criminal activities at a young age.
He was known for his violent behavior and was involved in multiple bank robberies, murders, and prison escapes. Pierpont was eventually apprehended in 1934 and sentenced to death for his crimes.
Pierpont was executed by electrocution at the Ohio State Penitentiary in Columbus on October 17, 1934. His death marked the end of his criminal career and the violent era of the Dillinger Gang. He was portrayed by actor David Wenham in the 2009 film "Public Enemies" which depicted the life and crimes of John Dillinger.
